CafeTEAria Opens with Affordable Meals and Delicious Beverages

The area around Dolores St. in Cagayan de Oro City is teeming with university students day and night – definitely an ideal spot to establish a cafe.

It’s no wonder why childhood chums Jennifer McCormick and Amanda Marsha “Aya” Popiera decided now is the time to carve their own spot there.

Nestled right across Win Grace Dormitory and 4Daboys Pub, CafeTEAria opened its door last December 8.
It produces just the right value of affordable meals, frappes, and smoothies as they intend to cater the college market.

“We understand the daily needs of the students for quality gourmet to energize them while studying. And we do understand that they’re relying on budget as students. That’s where we appeal to them,” Aya remarked.

Indeed the formula has worked. Or so it seems as proven by their operations the past few days alone.

On opening eve alone, a group of students walked into the cafe already inquiring about their budget meals so they could come back a day after.

At P49 only, CafeTEAria‘s budget meal variants baby back ribs, pork adobo, chicken adobo, Bicol express, tapa, tocino, and sisig are undoubtedly the most affordable in town.

They also have a choice of milk teas – Okinawa, Hokkaido, watermelon, vanilla, matcha and taro for only P65 (small) and P80 (medium) a cup.

Or try their gingerbread frappe – it’s the only one in town. They have other flavors too – hazelnut, butterscotch, macadamia, toffeenut, and chocolate.

Smoothies available come in peach, passion, lychee, green apple, strawberry, and kiwi.

Enjoyment doesn’t just stop gastronomically though.

Dazzle in their interiors and have your photo taken beside the wall. It’s like being teleported to springtime Japan.

CafeTEAria is at 176 Dolores St., Cagayan de Oro City. They are open lunch until dinner every day including Sundays and certain holidays.
